Landy Sycip MTB
This Sycip MTB is inspired by the iconic sea foam green of classic Land Rover Defenders. Much like the legendary overlanders themselves, this build was made to be rugged, capable, and ready for adventure. But there’s always something mesmerizing about classic cars and custom bikes. Beyond their off-road prowess, they deserve a place in a showroom or even your living room. Their timeless aesthetics and rich heritage give them a level of sophistication that’s hard to ignore.
This particular Sycip, handcrafted in Santa Rosa, California, captures exactly that spirit. Steel at its core, but refined in every detail.
Up front, it’s equipped with a Fox Step-Cast 32 fork, one of the best-performing front ends for aggressive off-road riding. Rolling on carbon rims from We Are One Composites paired with Chris King hubs, the wheelset was meticulously built by Portland’s finest, Sugar Wheel Works, and wrapped in Maxxis Rekon Race tires for fast yet capable all-terrain performance.
Naturally, all the bearings came from Chris King to match the quality and class of the build. For the drivetrain, we went full MUSA with SRAM GX Eagle paired with White Industries M30 cranks.
The cockpit ties everything together beautifully, featuring the first-ever silver dropper post from PNW Components and titanium handlebars from none other than Thomson Bike Products.
This bike is more than capable of getting dirty on the trails, but it definitely deserves a thorough wash afterward before returning to its rightful showroom spot.
